On October 26th, 1995, two nightclub dynasties from New York and London - Jackie 60 and Skin
Two - joined forces at The Palladium to present The Goddess Ball. The evening showcased the work of
fetish designers from the United States and Europe while also celebrating the dominant woman as a
fashion archetype: a true alternative to the masochistic or passive images of women that continue to
dominate the fashion industry.
The second and third editions took place at MOTHER in 1997 and on New Year's Eve 1998 and were
co-hosted by the House of Domination with Jackie 60 and Click + Drag, featuring the very best of
the burgeoning fetish design talent in and
around New York. There's been much talk about a 21st-Century edition, and we'll probably see one vefore
too long, so stay tuned here.
