BETTY PAGE 12: MOVIE STAR NEWS REPORT, PAGE 2The Jackie Factory has produced this event in downtown New York for the past twelve years - a gala evening of Betty-worship that's been held at venues including birthplace Jackie 60, Don Hill's (2001) and now at CBGB'S GALLERY. Legends from all twelve years of the event were in evidence, including original House of D. Betty Legends MAD DAWG and ANNABELLE DOMINATION and 1998 Betty Realness Contest winner BROWN BETTIE DOMINATION, in from Milwaukee. They thrilled to the antics of MC's CHI CHI VALENTI and HATTIE HATHAWAY (who dressed as Bondage Facilitator Paula Klaw,) DJ JOHNNY DYNELL (dressed as a slimmer, more Latino Irving Klaw!) and the many legends stopping by to guest-star on the faux-boudoir stage designed by KITTY BOOTS.All photos on this page by JOHNNY DYNELL, 2002. Our esteemed judging panel(center) delivered fair judging with so many great contestants to choose from: Michael Musto, Flawless Sabrina, Mistress Leda, Brown Bettie and Dr. Ducky Doolittle hard at work. There was no rest for the Betty worshipper as The House of Domination returned for their second set. |

Cheescake was on everyone's minds all night, including celebrity judges MICHAEL MUSTO and DR. DUCKY DOOLITTLE (far left,) who shared a piece sidestage. Gender-bending Betties were much in evidence, including a sassy French Maid (left) and MC HATTIE HATHAWAY as Paula Klaw (right.) Plenty of pictures were snapped by our own Camera Club, who never left the stage for four hours! Who can blame them, though, with visuals like these: Marti Domination's Peekaboo Dance (far right.) Near dawn, the last of the partygoers headed out to The Bowery to catch cabs and The House made their exit. We can hardly wait till next year! |
